Components Of Sanitary Diaphragm Valves
Sanitary Diaphragm Valve is mainly composed of the following key components:
Valve body: usually made of corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel, its shape design facilitates the smooth flow of fluid in the valve body, reducing the possibility of dead corners and dirt accumulation. The valve body has connection interfaces at both ends, which can be connected to pipelines or equipment. Common connection methods include clamp connection, welding connection, etc.
Diaphragm: It is a key component of sanitary diaphragm valve, generally made of soft, corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant materials such as rubber and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The diaphragm divides the internal space of the valve body into two parts, the upper part is connected to the actuator, and the lower part is in contact with the fluid medium. The diaphragm has good flexibility and chemical stability, which can effectively prevent medium leakage and external impurities from entering while ensuring the normal operation of the valve.
Actuator: It is used to drive the movement of the valve stem and diaphragm to achieve valve control. Common actuators are manual, pneumatic and electric. Manual actuators are generally handwheels or handles, which are used to open and close the valve by human operation; pneumatic actuators use compressed air as a power source, which is fast and suitable for occasions that require quick response; electric actuators are powered by electric motors, which can achieve remote control and automatic operation.
Valve stem: One end is connected to the diaphragm and the other end is connected to the actuator. The function of the valve stem is to transmit the driving force of the actuator and drive the diaphragm to move, thereby opening and closing the valve.
Valve cover: Connected to the valve body, it is used to fix the diaphragm, valve stem and other components to ensure the overall structure and sealing performance of the valve.
These components work together to enable sanitary diaphragm valves to perform excellent performance and flexibility in various industrial applications, especially in occasions that require high cleanliness and corrosion resistance.
