From the perspective of energy conservation, when designing and manufacturing valves, the resistance of the valve to the flowing medium should be reduced as much as possible. Therefore, these factors should be considered when purchasing.
Second. Action sensitivity and reliability This refers to the sensitivity of the valve to respond to changes in medium parameters.
Third. The sealing performance of the valve refers to the ability of each sealing part of the valve to prevent the leakage of the medium, which is an important technical performance indicator of the valve. There are three sealing parts of the valve: the contact between the opening and closing parts and the two sealing surfaces of the valve seat; the matching part of the packing and the valve stem and the stuffing box; the connection between the valve body and the valve cover. It will affect the ability of the valve to cut off the medium.
Fourth. The strength performance of the valve refers to the ability of the valve to withstand the pressure of the medium. The valve is a mechanical product that withstands internal pressure, so it must have sufficient strength and rigidity to ensure long-term use without rupture or deformation.
Fifth. The opening and closing speed is expressed by the time required for the valve to complete an opening or closing action. Generally, there is no strict requirement for the opening and closing speed of the valve, but some working conditions have special requirements for the opening and closing speed, such as some require rapid opening or closing to prevent accidents, and some require slow closing to prevent water hammer, etc. This should be considered when selecting the valve type.
When companies purchase high-platform ball valves, they hope to extend its service life and reduce costs. So what methods can we use to extend the service life of high-platform ball valves?
1. After the ball valve is installed and applied, it should be regularly inspected to ensure its normal operation.
2. The storage environment should be paid attention to. It should be stored in a dry and ventilated room, and both ends of the passage should be blocked.
3. It should be checked regularly, and the dirt on it should be removed, and anti-rust oil should be applied on its surface.
4. The sealing performance of the ball valve should be tested to ensure its performance.
5. If the ball valve is used in a harsh environment and is easily contaminated by rain, snow, dust, wind and sand, etc., a protective cover should be installed for the valve stem.
6. The ball valve in operation should be intact, the bolts on the flange and bracket should be complete, the threads should be intact, and there should be no looseness.
7. The packing gland should not be skewed or have no pre-tightening clearance.
8. Check the wear of the trapezoidal threads of the valve stem and the valve stem nut, whether the packing is outdated and invalid, etc., and make necessary replacements.
