How To Replace The Sealing Ring Of Large-diameter Sanitary Butterfly Valve?
Sanitary Butterfly Valve sealing rings are generally made of silicone rubber. After a long period of use, the sealing rings will age and break. At this time, we need to replace the sealing rings. To ensure normal installation after replacement, it is necessary to mark the sealing ring pressure plate and the disc plate, and the original limit screws cannot be rotated.
When replacing the sealing ring of a large-diameter sanitary butterfly valve, the power supply needs to be disconnected to ensure that no accidents occur, and then the screws on the pressure plate are unscrewed. Start by unscrewing the two screws on both sides of the butterfly plate, then replace the two screws with bolts of 150-200 in length, and then unscrew the remaining screws and keep them properly to avoid loss.
After unscrewing the screws, the two operators use tools to insert between the sealing ring and the pressure plate to pry, then remove the damaged sealing ring inside and replace it with a new one. The operator can decide whether to remove the pressure plate according to the size of the replacement site. The new sealing ring must be clean and tidy, with no dirt and particles on the surface. This is to prevent the sealing ring from aging and breaking faster.
