Sanitary Butterfly Valve Inspection before installation

Electric butterfly valves are used in industrial fields, general service fields, water treatment, and HVAC and refrigeration industries. Electric butterfly valves are available in two types: standard "on/off" control and "regulating" control (control signal is 4-20mA or 0-5VDC). Electric butterfly valves are simple in structure, small in size, light in weight, and consist of only a few parts. Moreover, they can be quickly opened and closed by rotating 90°, which is simple to operate. At the same time, the valve has good fluid control characteristics. When the electric butterfly valve is in the most open position, the thickness of the butterfly plate is the resistance of the medium flowing through the valve body, so the pressure drop generated by the valve is very small, so it has good flow control characteristics. If you want to ensure that the electric butterfly valve works properly, the inspection work before the installation of the electric butterfly valve is the most important.

Inspection: Check the instruction manual of the electric butterfly valve: Sampling inspection. Including two books: the quality manual of the raw materials and the manufacturer's finished product manual. The quality of valve raw materials shall be sampled and inspected in accordance with relevant regulations, and the inspection results shall comply with the provisions of the current national standards or the requirements of the order contract. After the valve is assembled and formed, there shall be no defects such as paint peeling on its surface, and collisions shall be avoided during transportation of the valve.

The second inspection: Packaging inspection of finished electric butterfly valves. Both the buyer and the seller shall pack and ship according to the requirements of the contract documents. The packaging must be reliable and firm, and generally there shall be no damage, crushing, scratches or other undesirable phenomena. In addition, each packaging box shall be equipped with a production label to indicate the material, caliber, pressure, connection method, quantity, model and production date of the electric butterfly valve.

The third inspection: Check the list of electric butterfly valves during unloading.

1 When loading and unloading electric valves or pneumatic valves without outer packaging, they must be handled with care. When encountering heavier valves, they must be lifted with lifting equipment. It is strictly forbidden to lift them directly with wire ropes.

2 Electric valves and pneumatic valves should be loaded in containers for long-distance transportation.

3 When transporting valves without outer packaging by vehicle, sleepers lined with oak rubber pads should be set on the vehicle.

4. On-site production, on-site transportation and installation After the raw materials enter the site, they should be carefully checked according to the cargo list. If any quality defects or shortages of electric butterfly valves are found, the manufacturer should be notified in writing. On-site processing and workshop prefabrication have the same operating process and quality requirements.

What should we pay attention to when installing electric butterfly valves

1. When installing electric butterfly valves, we should pay attention to whether the position of the valve disc is in the closed state.

2. When installing the open position, it should be determined according to the rotation angle of the butterfly plate.

3. For electric butterfly valves with bypass valves, the bypass valve should be opened before opening to avoid damaging the butterfly valve or hurting yourself.

4. The installation should be carried out strictly in accordance with the installation instructions distributed by the manufacturer. For heavy butterfly valves, we must set a solid foundation.
