The high platform ball valve consists of a valve body, a valve cover, an upper valve seat, a ball, a lower valve seat, a valve stem, a thrust pad, a butterfly spring, a locking cover, a handle, a locking block, a latch, a limit rod, a nut, a packing sleeve, a packing, and a sealing ring. The sealing structure of the high platform ball valve adopts a combined sealing method of O-ring, packing and thrust washer. The thrust washer directly seals the valve stem at low pressure, and the O-ring and packing work together to seal the valve stem at high pressure. In the utility model, due to the adjustment of the O-ring, good sealing performance can be guaranteed regardless of constant pressure or pressure increase or decrease caused by unstable factors, thereby greatly extending the service life of the high platform ball valve.

The high platform ball valve not only has a simple structure and good sealing performance, but also has a small volume, light weight, less material consumption, small installation size, and small driving torque within a certain nominal diameter range. It is easy to operate and easy to open and close quickly. It is one of the fastest-growing valve varieties in the past decade.

The friction of the high platform ball valve depends not only on the working pressure of the medium and the diameter of the valve, but also on the form of the ball valve, the structure of the sealing and supporting components, and the properties of the sealing material. In addition, in each specific structure, the friction on the sealing seat also depends on the angle of rotation of the ball valve.
The torque of the high platform ball valve under normal differential pressure: when the high pressure ball valve is rotated to 30°, a large value appears, and it is zero when it is fully open (90°). In fact, when the ball valve is rotated to 80°, the pressure difference is usually much smaller than the large value. When the ball valve is closed, the pressure difference is large, and it gradually decreases as its opening degree increases. Therefore, under the condition of constant pressure, a large torque is generated when it is rotated to 30°~40°.
