What Is The Cause Of Sanitary Butterfly Valve Leakage?
The reasons for the leakage of Sanitary Butterfly Valve are as follows:
Quality problems of the butterfly valve itself: When analyzing the problems of large-diameter butterfly valves, we have to mention the quality problems of the valve itself, especially the valves produced by some small manufacturers are prone to such phenomena. The anti-corrosion layer of the gate plate and the gate body falls off or the anti-corrosion layer is thin, causing the gate body and the gate plate to rust, with a thickness of up to 30-50 mm, causing the gate plate to be unable to close or the sealing strip on the gate body to be damaged by rust blocks falling off, resulting in a loose valve. The sealing rubber ring has quality defects, is not installed firmly or is too thin, causing the sealing rubber ring to fall off during the gate movement process.
Hydraulic reasons in the operation of sanitary butterfly valves: Generally, the network pressure of large-diameter pipe networks is more than 30 meters, and the butterfly valve has to withstand greater pressure during the opening and closing process. The sudden movement changes the water flow state. The butterfly valve gradually opens from the closed state to form a gap. The shear force generated by the water flow acts on the gate plate, cutting the edge of the gate plate. Multiple actions may cause the rubber ring to fall off or break, and the gate plate to have a gap, resulting in a loose valve. Long-term immobility and inadequate maintenance of the butterfly valve make the butterfly valve difficult to operate.
